Lorraine Toler presents the Last Queen of Korea: A series of paintings about the Empress Myeongseong(Queen Min), 1851-1895. Queen Min was the wife of Gojong, the twenty-sixth king of the Joseon dynasty.
Queen Min was an unlikely political powerhouse, and responsible for opening Korea to the west and the modern Kora that exists today.
